Amphora by Lily Moon is the Diva weekly challenge. I did it in my sketch book because I didn't think I was going to like it, but I am very pleased with the outcome. I have been having fun exploring the shading techniques in Eni Oken's 3D Tangle: Shading Fearlessly. The two photographs are the same tile just photographed in different lights. Neither of them are quite right. The top one looks yellow and the bottom looks washed out. Any suggestions?
Very nice composition, good balance, nice contrasts and shadow an beautiful drawn!
ReplyDeleteGreat job with the shading
ReplyDeleteI also like the richness of your shading, and the contrast in you Amphora.
ReplyDeleteDitto everything everyone has said! In terms of getting the colour right, if you go into photoshop and play with the adjustment layers you can make your white closer to the reality. If the tile is off white, scan or photgraph it with white next to the tile and that usually helps
ReplyDeleteThis tile is beautiful and the shading well done.
ReplyDeleteFabulous composition! The shading is terrific!
ReplyDeleteWonderful combination of tangles, resulting in a beautiful piece.
